About Me

Having graduated (a long time ago!) from Newcastle Poly (Now the university of Northumberland) with a degree in fashion, I found my design niche creating characters for print on 2-5 year old boys wear.   
Developing characters is still one of my favourite things.  There are Manxy and Puff - residents of Skomer; various children and animal friends with no names ...dogs, hares, beavers and a few Bible characters.
My other favourite things are dogs.  I have lots of happy pet portrait clients  - it's great to hear that gasp of amazement when they look at a picture of their cockapoo ... because of course, they are all different. 
My illustrations have yet to be published, but some little people who have previewed them seem to find them very absorbing. And I have a stack of ideas in different stages of development.
I love the place where I live - beautiful west Wales. I can grab my sketchbook and pop across to the tip of the Pembrokeshire coast, just to have a look at the seabird island, Skomer.  Alternatively, I can hang out on a beach, watch people with their dogs and draw. Happy days!
